Description

Winter fairy was created at the end of 80s of XX century by the master. By that time Victor's time line crossed the family of Butsan George, the mathematician, Maecenas and fervent connoisseur of Zaretsky's art, and Lazova Polina, the actress.

Polina is portrayed on the picture as winter fairy.

It is interesting how did Victor Ivanovich depict women at the end of his life. They appeared soon after pencil sketches. Polina posed, Victor Ivanovich painted in pencil in different views and in few days the picture would have appeared as the result of master's fantasy.

Provenance: The work was bought at the artist's workshop in Koncha-Zaspa in 1989 by the philanthropist-collector Butsan G.P. from Viktor Zaretskiy himself.
