Last excitement

canvas, oil

Viktor Zaretsky

Ukrainian secession. Klimt period

The painting "Last excitement" (another title "Sad Wedding") was created in the Art Nouveau style, to which Zaretsky came in the last years of his creative career. At first glance, there are unfinished elements in the picture, but the artist himself said that he saw the picture in such a manner. This is witnessed with the painter's signature.

Provenance: The work was bought at the artist's workshop in Koncha-Zaspa in 1990.
